Central Administration?
Central Administration in SharePoint Server 2013 is where you go to perform administration tasks from a central location. Administrators browse to the SharePoint Central Administration website to complete many administrative operations on a single farm. No coding knowledge needed

v Application Management
The Application Management page contains links to pages where you can manage Web applications, site collections, service applications and databases.


Ø  Web Applications
Manage web applications -  Create and configure web applications
Configure alternate access mappings - Configure the internal and public URL mapping for web applications in the farm.
Ø  Site Collections
Create site collections - Create a new top level website
Delete a site collection -Completely remove a top level site and all subsites. This operation will permanently remove all content contained in the given site collection.
Confirm site use and deletion – Require site collection administrators to confirm that their site collections are in use and optionally schedule automatic site collection deletion.
Specify quota templates- Create or edit site collection quota templates
Configure quotas and locks – Configure the maximum size of a site collection and whether new content can be added
Change site collection administrators – Change the primary and secondary owners of a site collection
View all site collections – View a list of all site collections in the farm.
